Happy St Patrick’s Day!!

“Every year, millions of people don ginger wigs, green jackets and shamrock-adorned top hats.

They then crowd into bars across the world, where they down pints of Guinness from as early as 9 or 10am. (…)

But why do we celebrate St Patrick’s Day? And how is it observed by people across the globe?”

Happy St Patrick’s Day from the American Motors team!!

Force Protection Excercises – Ansbach & Grafenwoehr

Hi Folks,

Below is an excerpt from the US Army Garrison Bavaria’s Facebook page. Expect delays coming on and off post in the Ansbach and Grafenwoehr areas.

Our annual force protection exercise is underway now through Oct. 22. Expect longer wait times at the gates, increased vehicle checks at the gates, increased ID checks at on-post offices and shops. Gate guards may even ask for second forms of ID. The bulk of the exercise will occur Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Tower Barracks in Grafenwoehr and at USAG Ansbach. This is a joint exercise combining the Joint Multinational Training Command, USAG Bavaria, USAG Ansbach, Mission Partners and host nation emergency responders. The exercise will simulate incidents on Tower Barracks and at installations at USAG Ansbach. We conduct this exercise to ensure the life, health and safety of the Bavaria Military Community.”
